Friends of Haleakala worked with Haleakala National Park to design this "sign in progress" for a display in the Visitors Center in the park. It was developed to solicit donations and volunteers, raise awareness of park issues and gain respect for the cultural significance of the mountain and crater. The messages and graphics were designed to draw visitors in with immediate messages from far away. The arrows direct the viewer from one issue to the next while showing the relationship among all of these important issues. The color coded banners on the bottom of the sign lead visitors to more printed information on each topic.
