Mana Web wanted a butterfly incorporated into their logo to represent a metamorphosis and a full cycle of life. While ideas were kicked around to incorporate images representing other phases in butterfly's development, the final solution was reached with the idea that the best logos are simple and sweet. So, we kept it to one butterfly image, and added the semi-circular trail to represent the cycle, which also brought movement to the logo. The simple serif type style with rounded edges was chosen to play off of the rounded edge design of the butterfly.
